Anne Waiguru Reveals Her Running Mate in Race for Kirinyaga Governor

Former Devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru on Monday unveiled a prominent Kirinyaga businessman as her running mate as she seeks the county’s gubernatorial seat.

Waiguru, who is seeking the Jubilee ticket, told residents that they needed to have strong leaders who can defend the party’s policies at the national and at the county level.

“The right candidate is Anne Waiguru and I will be assisted by Peter Ndambiri, when you see us campaigning, know this is the winning team,” Waiguru declared.

The announcement came just days after Ndambiri was dramatically arrested at gun point after he was linked to the kidnapping of a woman who worked in his campaign team- he was however released after the case failed to materialize.

Before being picked for Waiguru’s team, Ndambiri had declared his intention to run for the Mwea parliamentary seat.

At the same time, the former Devolution CS asked residents to come out in large numbers and register as voters in order for them to re-elect President Uhuru Kenyatta in the August 8 General Election.
